Human Resources (HR) Manager

About Us

ÆONIS SYSTEMS is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to develop and oversee HR policies, recruitment strategies, and workplace culture for our growing AI-driven healthcare and education nonprofit. This role involves talent acquisition, onboarding, team management, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate has experience in HR leadership, nonprofit hiring, and remote workforce management.

Important Note: Until funding is secured, we ask for a commitment of 10-15 hours per month to ensure steady progress while respecting your time and contributions. This role is open to global applicants and can be remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Develop and implement hiring strategies to attract AI engineers, healthcare specialists, and nonprofit professionals.

  • Onboarding & Retention: Create structured onboarding programs to integrate new volunteers and team members effectively.

  • HR Policy Development: Establish HR policies, workplace guidelines, and employee handbooks in compliance with labor laws.

  • Performance & Growth Management: Implement training programs, feedback cycles, and professional development plans.

  • Diversity & Inclusion: Promote an inclusive and equitable work environment that values diverse perspectives.

  • Conflict Resolution & Employee Support: Act as a mediator for workplace concerns and team conflicts.

  • Compliance & Workplace Law: Ensure ÆONIS SYSTEMS adheres to labor laws, volunteer management regulations, and ethical employment practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in HR management, recruitment, or nonprofit workforce coordination.

  • Education: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related fields preferred.

  • HR Software & Tools: Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and remote collaboration tools (Slack, Notion, Asana, etc.).

  • Legal & Compliance: Knowledge of employment laws, remote workforce policies, and nonprofit volunteer management.

  • People Management: Strong experience in building remote teams, managing performance, and fostering a positive work culture.

Work Model & Expectations

  • Commitment: 10-15 hours per month.

  • Work Type: Remote

  • Location: Open to global applicants.

  • Compensation: Currently voluntary; early contributors will be prioritized for paid roles once funding is secured
